- Licensing Terms – Phelps Edit
Phelps Edit offers simple, affordable licenses for stock photos and videos. By purchasing and downloading content from phelpsedit.com, you agree to the terms outlined below.
All content remains the copyright of Phelps Edit and contributing artists. You are purchasing a license to use the content, not ownership of the file.
Image Licenses
1. Social Media License
- Low-resolution (72dpi) images for personal or business social media accounts.
- Unlimited web and social media posts.
- May not be used in print, merchandise, or paid advertising campaigns.
- Non-transferable (for one client/project only).
2. Standard License
- Perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive use.
- Print runs and reproductions up to 500,000 copies.
- Allowed in websites, digital ads, email marketing, presentations, editorial uses, and broadcast with audiences under 500,000.
- May be modified and incorporated into designs.
- Can be shared internally with employees/contractors.
- May be transferred to a single client or employer.
Not permitted:
- Stand-alone redistribution of the file.
- Use in products where the content itself is the main value (posters, t-shirts, mugs, etc.).
- Trademark, logo, or service mark use.
3. Buyout License
- Grants exclusive use of the image for the agreed term.
- During the Buyout period, the content will not be licensed to any other party.
- Previous licenses remain valid.
- After the Buyout period ends, the content may be relicensed by Phelps Edit.
Video Licenses
1. Standard License
- Perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive use.
- Includes web, social, corporate presentations, and editorial projects.
- Broadcast or streaming distribution permitted up to 500,000 viewers.
- Modifications allowed.
2. Buyout License
- Grants exclusive use of the video for the agreed term.
- No other party may license the video during that time.
- Previous licenses remain valid.
- After expiration, Phelps Edit may relicense the content.
General Restrictions (applies to all content)
You may not:
- Resell, share, or distribute content as a stand-alone file.
- Use in “on-demand” products (e.g., print-on-demand posters, calendars, or merchandise) without a Buyout.
- Use in a way that is defamatory, obscene, or unlawful.
- Suggest endorsement by any person or property in the content without a clear disclaimer (“Model is used for illustrative purposes only”).
- Use content in logos, trademarks, or service marks.
- Use content in AI training, machine learning, or biometric recognition systems.

Warranties & Liability
- Phelps Edit warrants that content, when used as licensed, will not infringe third-party copyright or publicity rights.
- Content is provided “as is” without additional warranties.
- Phelps Edit’s total liability shall not exceed the price paid for the license.
Termination
If you breach these terms, your license will terminate immediately, and you must stop using the content and delete all copies.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
